Generous volunteers have initiated 899 Food Drives from June 2006 to December 2011! Many of the seniors we serve skip meals and doses of medicine to survive . . . by mid-month they have spent their meager income on rent and medicine . . . our Senior Emergency Meal Boxes help them survive until their next Social Security check arrives.
Can you help with a gift of food?

Poway Letter Carriers Bring in Over 18,000 Pounds of Food
for The Angel’s Depot on May 14, 2011!

"Poway Letter Carriers
and The Angel's Depot volunteers."
We are very grateful to the POWAY POST OFFICE LETTER CARRIERS for once again dedicating their food drive to The Angel's Depot on Saturday, May 14, 2011. They did a
wonderful job for us this year, as they nearly doubled their pounds of food from 2010. The blue plastic food bags the Letter Carriers put in everyone's mail box this
year really helped folks remember to put food in it the next day! The Letter Carriers Food Drive is held nationwide the 2nd Saturday in May each year!
Here are the 2010 LETTER CARRIERS Food Drive Totals dedicated to us:
2010 POWAY LETTER CARRIERS - 10,100 lbs.
Volunteer Captain was Al Pfeltz; food drive was manned by Harrah's Rincon Casino & Resort & Carlsbad High School volunteers.
2010 ESCONDIDO EAST LETTER CARRIERS - 8,050 lbs.
Volunteer Captain was Mike Leone; food drive was manned by Escondido Rotary and Escondido Boy Scout volunteers.
Thanks to Laura Strickler for successfully lobbying in our behalf with the Letter Carriers to help make this happen!

The DEPOT loves days like this . . . when a food drive comes in!

We're packin' at the DEPOT each month on 2nd Tuesday evening . . . call to sign up!
