Poway Letter Carriers
& their volunteers
We are very grateful to the Poway Post Office Letter Carriers and the Escondido East Post Office Letter Carriers for dedicating their food drives to The Angel's Depot on Saturday, May 8.
They did a wonderful job for us this year at their annual Letter Carriers Food Drive which is held nationwide the day before Mother's Day each year!
Here are the food totals for those drives dedicated to us:
POWAY LETTER CARRIERS - 10,100 lbs.
Volunteer Captain was Al Pfeltz; food drive was manned by Harrah's Rincon Casino & Resort & Carlsbad High School volunteers.
ESCONDIDO EAST LETTER CARRIERS - 8,050 lbs.
Volunteer Captain was Mike Leone; food drive was manned by Escondido Rotary and Escondido Boy Scout volunteers.
Thanks to Board Secretary Laura Strickler for successfully lobbying in our behalf with the Letter Carriers to help make this happen!
June 8th food box packing will be done by United States Marines at 6:00 p.m.!
You have initiated 681 food drives for
The Angel's Depot since May 31, 2006!
Thank you Food Angels . . .

We are currently packing the Food Box B for April, May, June 2010.

Calling all Corporations, Churches, Service Clubs, Schools
or just "Very Nice People" who will initiate
Food Drives for The Angel's Depot!
The Angel's Depot is all about the gift of FOOD.
Here's how YOU can help with our
"Senior Food-for-a-Week" Emergency Meal Box Program:
Volunteer to be a Food Drive Sponsor who gathers nonperishable, nutritious, easily prepared
food items for our "Senior Food-for-a-Week" Emergency Meal Boxes.
Click on Distribution Report to review the latest distribution details for each food box distribution by The Angel's Depot. This is the same report received by the Board of Directors each month.
Your gifts of food mean everything to needy seniors who are hungry
and living in poverty in their fragile senior years.
They are so grateful for our help.

All "Senior Food-for-a-Week"
21-Meal Emergency Boxes are packed by
volunteers on a manual conveyor assembly line. In fact, corporations frequently
compete for "best packing time" . . .
we furnish the stopwatch for these energized competitors!
The Poway Letter Carriers Did It Again!
This is their 2nd Year Dedicating their Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive to The Angel's Depot.

Sadly, we lost Kendall de Voss this year. He was our Poway
Letter Carrier Food Drive Angel. Godspeed Kendall.
Kendall de Voss, Poway Letter Carrier Union Steward,
organized the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive to benefit The Angel's Depot.

Laura Strickler & Mike Leone were first on the Poway scene.

Poway Letter Carrier's Food Drive Volunteers.

Gutter Smutters Ladies Bowling Team in Vista continue to be
one of our top FOOD DRIVE ANGELS . . . bringing food every month!

The DEPOT loves days like this . . . when a food drive comes in!

We're packin' at the DEPOT each month on 2nd Tuesday evening . . . call to sign up!
